Allow products with points to be allowed in shopping cart

Point items that may be of small amounts that people would group and buy in bulk or together at the same time are a perfect scenario for the shopping cart, but are not allowed. Right now products with points purchase options are not allowed in the cart functionality. Please add points to allowed items and simply enforce like you do any other currency where all items in cart must be points purchases or something vs not allowing points purchases in the cart at all. Better yet allow split payment so it doesn't matter. Add items to your cart for $100 use 50 points and then pay the rest of the $50 in cash. (yes this would require a monetary point value setting but easy enough to do I think)

I'd like the option to have split payment as well. I'm going to award points for engagement and also offer them as bonuses that can be used for future purchases. If they have $50 worth of points and wish to purchase something that is $75, It would be easy for them to check out if split payment was allowed. Otherwise it is a manual transaction that I have to create a special link for them to consume 50 points and pay the remainder. ALSO - this means that Points could be used like a Gift Certificate or Store Credit, which I'd love.
