Decent Blog Styling and Design Features

Could we PLEASE have simple ways to design a decent blog template?
Consultants and coaches sell their expertise, and we do this through publishing our ideas. We need to have decent ways to present our ideas on a blog.
I shouldn't have to know CSS to do that. I shouldn't have a go look for an expert to do that. I shouldn't have to waste precious time to do that.
I started trying to fix this problem 3 weeks ago and I am still struggling to publish a decent blog post...
Plus, the functionalities to make simple edits already exist on other types of pages.

UPDATE: I stand corrected! YOU CAN edit both the blog page AND the post template. They're both currently on the old builder, but this is way better than nothing! See attached screenshot for how to access in top right corner.
AGREE! The blog area needs styling options. This is a necessity.

Hello Calvin and team,
Could we please have the same standard options to style the Blog post content section as a text section?
At the moment, there is no way to do simple adjustments like changing the content width. It's a basic user experience adjustment. Plus, it's already possible on other types of pages.
The standard blog post content section is just not even built with basic decent design.
I don't think this kind of adjustment should require to have advanced CSS skilled like it does at the moment. And I don't think I should have to hire someone to do that, as the support team suggested.
I hope you'll take my feedback into consideration.
Thanks!
Guillaume

Additionally, and related to this, I'd like to have the cursor in the blog text determine where the code editor opens up to.
Currently I can be in the middle of a post and I click on the code editor to drop in affiliate link code, but I have to scroll scroll scroll scroll scroll scroll and search search search search, and then I can drop in the code.
This would save me a lot of time and searching. And scrolling. :)

I agree to this.
Recently, Simplero made the comment section in blog posts far too wide, and they have removed the simple switch that confined them to the width of the blog posts themselves. I need to learn CSS if I am to fix this, and I agree that the solution should be much simpler.

I wholeheartedly agree. Recently, Simplero made the comment section in blog posts far too wide, and they have removed the simple switch that confined them to the width of the blog posts themselves. I need to learn CSS if I am to fix this, and I agree that the solution should be much simpler.

Stian M. Landgaard: I hadn't realized this until you mentioned it here, and I second your request that they be the same width. Thanks Stian!

I'd love to be able to drop in some of the sections like we can on landing pages.

Shaunna Richards: This makes the most sense.

I agree that the Simplero blog is super ugly. I have asked and asked over the last few years for a more attractive, functional look.
These screen pics are the best I have ever gotten my Simplero blog to look. (One is the blog home page. The other is an actual blog post with videos embedded.)
But the text extends far beyond the width of any videos, and often extends beyond the images. When I insert photos, they look blocky and childish. Whereas my WordPress blog on my main website looks functional and sophisticated.
For me, an unattractive blog is one of Simplero's biggest drawbacks. It is visually imbalanced and too simplistic .... when the point of a blog is to be highly attractive to get people to want to read it.
Otherwise, I love simplero features and really appreciate the ongoing efforts to make improvements! Thank you all for your continued efforts!
