eBook / ePub reader in Simplero
Human Awareness
A great way to generate income is by writing eBooks and recording audiobooks, then selling them through Simplero.
With audiobooks, customers can easily listen via the built-in player or on the web. However, this convenience doesn’t extend to eBooks, as Simplero does not support the ePub format.
So why don’t I simply sell digital books as downloadable files? The main reason is the lack of copyright protection for the files.
That said, since ePub is essentially a compacted HTML + CSS file, I believe implementing an eBook reader in Simplero would be a relatively straightforward feature to develop.

To solve this, I’d like to suggest implementing Readium (open source – https://github.com/readium). Readium is specifically designed for digital books — including both e-books (EPUB2 and 3) and audiobooks — and offers the kind of user experience customers expect, especially when it comes to seamless playback and navigation. It is widely used in other platforms.
In other words, implementing this functionality wouldn’t have to start from scratch.
Looking forward to hearing your thoughts.

Sounds like a very useful feature for those of us creating e-books through Simplero.

Maybe this could be a (temporary) solution for Simplero. It's an open source ePub reader that seems easy enough to implement. I could do it myself, but it requires access to web folders. Have a look at it:
