Because costs are based partly on number of contacts, we need to have a duplicate contact finder so we can merge those who may be in the system twice via previous imports, etc. (In other systems, this is called de-duping.) Thank you!

On October 7th we released what we believe was the last gap on the system creating duplicate contacts.
It used to happen when the import file contained the same contact multiple times in the file.
If you have experienced any duplicated contacts being created since October 7th 2024 please let us know so we can investigate any other scenarios we might be missing.

This is a highly needed feature! It needs to find dupes based on name, not just emails. Lots of people end up in the system with different emails.

We're receiving emails, sometimes weekly, regarding costs going up due to the number of contacts. Some are legitimately new, but there are dupes we need to clean out and going through 80,000 contacts by line item is time intensive and, labor-wise, added cost. We seriously need a de-duping function. It appears it is in there to some degree when we send out newsletters for example - the system identifies duplicates. How can we on the user end identify duplicates in an easier fashion than going by line item? In other programs, this is about 3 clicks for regular list maintenance. Appreciate the consideration!

It should not only find same email dupes, but also name dupes so they can be reviewed as a list and merged easily if they are the same person. Otherwise, it's combing manually through tens of thousands of emails to find the dupes. For an example, see how Infusionsoft does this.

Oh yes. Not only because of the costs, but also due to the problems when sending broadcasts. Same person receives mails x 2 - a member receives broadcast/offers directed to new costumers etc etc. so oh yes 😊
