Make option to have order bumps mandatory
Ryan Henderson
I would love the option to make Order Bumps mandatory (and/or the ability to add multiple products to an order form).
I have a program that has a prerequisite purchase of another program to be admitted, like an advanced add-on to the course. They participant is not able to do the add-on course without the initial course.
As it is now, I have made the price of the advanced version of the course to include the price of the initial course, and then offer a coupon code for the advance course to those that already have the initial course. It is a cumbersome approach, and I often end up having to refund some money after this transaction because it is confusing. In addition, my financials are not accurate because the back-end only recognizes that the advance program was purchased (at a higher rate) and does not reflect that two products were in fact purchased.
Having mandatory order bumps would allow me to put multiple products on the same order form.
We also add a fee to purchases made with many payment plans. This could be created within the mandatory order bumps and would allow for clarity.
Currently my order form has the purchase price of the advanced program with a lot of complicated wording to decipher what the price is for.
With mandatory order bumps, the order form would be clear, like this:
- Initial course --- $price (waived or coupon code option if already purchased)
- Advanced course --- $price
- Payment plan fee --- $price
- Additional course add-on ----$free with above purchase (for one year)
Another added benefit is that I could offer automations and triggers on the purchase of each component of the pricing, since each would be recognized as a separate payment in the back-end.
This feature would really change my Simplero world! Thanks for considering this, and for everything you do.
