Make “Switch Site” Navigation More Intuitive for End Users
Morten Kjelland
Many of my users struggle to understand that the small downward-pointing arrow labeled “Switch Site” is used to navigate between the different sites or memberships they have access to.
This issue appears across a wide range of users, spanning multiple generations and varying levels of digital proficiency. A common pattern is that users genuinely love Simplero’s interface once they arrive at the correct membership site—but they often have difficulty with this particular, and fairly fundamental, aspect of navigation.
The current design does not clearly communicate that “Switch Site” is the primary way to move between different access contexts, which leads to confusion and support requests.
Why This Matters:
- Affects users regardless of age or digital skill level
- Creates friction early in the user journey
- Impacts discoverability of memberships users already have access to
Improving the visibility, labeling, or explanation of the “Switch Site” function would significantly enhance usability and help users feel more confident navigating within Simplero.

I do not use this at all and fix or control with my own navigation links.
