I tried to tag a current client in a post in a membership site and I was shown a huge long list of everyone who has ever been a member. This includes people whose contact data (name) is now different from what it originally was, and many, many people who no longer have access to the site.

For tagging I'd like to pull from:

a) current data (updated names)

b) only current members

and related, then I'd like

c) former/potential returning members to go into an archive-like status where their information is perhaps still there, but inactive.
