Send exerpt of blog to subscribers

In an effort to drive traffic to my website, I'd prefer if the emails sent out to blog subscribers isn't the full blog post. It would be great if it could have, say, the first 250 words, then a "Read the full post on the blog" and a link. Otherwise, I can't tell if people are reading it or not.
What does everyone else think?

Way this could be done is by adding the oft requested digest send and allow a per post or per timeframe auto digest of latest blogs etc. It would be a formatted partial send as mentioned above.
