Stripe Payment Account cannot be deleted if you use sync function
planned
Ryan Sullivan
Right now if you sync a Stripe account Simplero does not allow you to remove the Stripe account later forcing a duplicate Stripe account if you use the normal method. Seemingly a bug but they want us to vote.

Ryan Sullivan the Engineering team confirmed that we don't allow deleting the payment processor when there are transactions and/or purchases associated with it.
Ryan Sullivan
Lis Alvarez There are no transactions or purchases in your system for this account that was why it did not makes sene to remove, please relook at this this is a bug and issue .

Ryan Sullivan: there are 347 payment methods that belong to deleted contacts.
I'll follow up and see why we keep those on the data base.
Lis Alvarez
It's expected that we keep payment methods association if there had been purchases created with them.
Even if you delete the contact, the purchase records remain in the database, most likely for legal reasons.
This causes the payment processor to remain in your account, consecuently.

Lis Alvarez They were never bought in your system, I tried tot "sync" to Stripe and it brought over so many duplicates of people and items that I had to start over as it was not worth my time to sort through 25 versions of the same person because they biought products 20 times, so I "deleted" them to start over. Those were prexisting Stripe purchase records from the sync nothing to do with Simplero account. That is my point I do not want that old Stripe account only the new clean Simplero one that I had to start, I should be able to purge that old Stripe account and data, period.

Ryan Sullivan: Sounds like a fringe case. I'll ask Egineering if they can force delete the payment processor for you.
Ryan Sullivan
Lis Alvarez Not a fringe case would be ANYONE who used the Stripe sync but later wants to use another processor and wants to cleanup their account other than Simplero processed payments. Assuming that there is some ID for those vs imported I would think.
