Allow detection of corporate/business cards and enable compliant surcharging for those cards only.
Many of us running B2B subscriptions in the EU face a growing cost problem related to corporate and business cards (e.g. Mastercard Business, Corporate cards).
Under EU rules, surcharging is not allowed for consumer cards, but is allowed for corporate/business cards.
Today, Simplero passes these higher fees directly to the merchant with no way to make them visible to the customer.
We would like Simplero to support:
* Detection of corporate/business cards at checkout
* Automatic addition of a separate, clearly visible card fee when such cards are used
* Full transparency to the customer before payment is completed
Why this matters (business impact)
For B2B subscription businesses, card fees can easily reach six figures annually.
Today, merchants are forced to either:
* Absorb the cost (hurting margins), or
* Remove card payments entirely for B2B customers (hurting conversion and customer experience).
Why this is relevant for many EU customers
* Corporate card usage is increasing rapidly in B2B.
* EU law already allows this practice for business cards.
* Many merchants across the EU are facing the same challenge, regardless of PSP (Stripe, Adyen, etc.)
This feature would protect margins while keeping checkout flexible and compliant.
I'm sure this would be highly valuable for many EU-based Simplero users.
