Trigger Abandoned Cart Email when form is filled but not submitted
Valerie Tate
Right now, the ONLY way an abandoned cart email goes out is if someone actually clicks the final purchase button and it doesn't go through. So basically, the only people we're sending abandoned cart emails to are the people whose card probably didn't work so they can't purchase anyway.
The email needs to go out when someone fills out their contact information but doesn't click the purchase button. Other platforms do this. Why doesn't Simplero?
As it is, the abandoned cart email trigger is fairly useless.

Was very surprised that Simplero as a leading ecommerce site would not have such a basic ecommerce feature already established. All ecommerce sites have an very functional abandonded cart feature and not one like it currently has. Anyone else think the same thing?

Tue Olesen shared a help guide link in a similar feature request post. Maybe this will help some of you?

Thanks, Teresa Sigmon. But I explored this issue with Simplero itself. The Abandoned Cart trigger does not fire unless the user clicks the submit button. If they fill out the form but then just leave (which is the case in 99.9% of abandoned carts), nothing happens. It doesn't record them at all. The way Abandoned Cart works right now, it is only useful for people whose purchase failed for some reason, not for true abandoned carts.

Totally agree! When Order form 2.0 was in the works, we were told that it would handle abandoned cart.
