Can we please have a trigger that fires when an event (including scheduling link) starts, and ends?

Currently, if I want something to happen at the start/end of an event (like send an email), then I have to create an Automation, and the Automation has a step that's "wait until event ends" or "wait until event starts" and then have the thing happen.

It would be SIMPLER (wink wink) to just have a trigger that fires when the event starts / event ends, to avoid having to make a 2-step automation.
