True visual automation builder (flowchart with branches and paths)
Elsa Bonafonte
Hi Simplero team đź‘‹
I’d love to request a truly visual automation builder, based on a flowchart / map / canvas, not just a list of steps.
What I’m imagining is something very similar to tools like Make, ActiveCampaign or visual workflow builders, where you can see the whole logic as a diagram with nodes and branches.
Example of what I mean
Let’s say:
- A contact enters the automation
- Then the system checks:
IF the contact has tag “A” → send Email A
IF the contact has tag “B” → send Email B
IF the contact has tag “C” → send Email C
- And then each path continues with its own logic
Instead of reading this as a long list of rules, you would see it like a map:
- One entry point
- A decision block
- Several branches
- Each branch with its own actions
What I’m imagining visually
A canvas / board where:
- Each step is a block (node)
- Blocks are connected with lines
- Conditions create real visible branches
You can:
- Drag & drop blocks
- Move things around
- Zoom in / out
- See the full automation at a glance
Why this is important
Right now, when automations get big:
- They become hard to understand
- Hard to debug
- Easy to break something without realizing
- Almost impossible to see the global logic
With a visual map:
You instantly see:
- Where people enter
- Where they split into different paths
- What happens to each segment
- You can reason about automations like you reason about a system, not like a checklist.
In these cases, automations are basically the nervous system of the business, and having a visual nervous system map would be a huge upgrade in clarity, safety and scalability.
I’m attaching an image example of the kind of visual flow I mean, because that’s exactly the experience I’m dreaming of inside Simplero.

It's something I'd like to do as well.
Actually started on this YEARS ago!
Some people REALLY love the current simple straight-forward flow, but I also understand the wish for the branching flow.
I'll get my designer working on how we could solve it visually.
Technically it's clear.
