Feature Requests

Hey team I would love to be able to see if and who has downloaded a media file, especially for course content. I have a case where a customer for one of my clients, wants a refund we can see that the customer has viewed the lessons but not if the content files has been downloaded. If it’s been downloaded we of course don’t want to refund. Since we currently can’t see that, then we’ll have to give the customer the benefit of doubt. But for future cases it would be great to be able to see that somewhere. Thanks Sarah

Hey super Simplero team I would love to be able to filter the media library based on which course a file is used in. That would be very helpful when doing bulk updates for a specific course, or in cases where the client wants to download all files connected to a specific course. Thanks Sarah

I almost didn't realize you had the capability to add custom sizes to images or to use the wonderful built in image editor because the only way to tap into it that I can find is through the website builder. Why aren't these capabilities accessible directly from the media library where most of us add the items to or work with all the time? Please add the links to this function to the media library as well, seems like an easy fix for a big win. example here your employee tried to do it from media library andcouldnt find it: 27:40 on the time https://help.simplero.com/courses/47167-simplero-training-workshops/lessons/687007-making-beautiful-landing-and-website?autoplay=1 He went to edit where it makes sense to and wasnt there.

For some media files, in some cases the autogenerated transcripts may end up needing to be removed again, due to the transcript being too full of errors. For most english language videos and videos with one speaker in one language this is not an issue, but: For videos with mixed-language (say, mixed scandinavian language, danish, norwegian, swedish can go in the same conversation), the transcription engine struggles to make a readable transcript. In those cases i'd love to be able to remove the transcript again, to have it avoid being indexed for search or go into the data that Simplero's AI chatbot works on. Removing transcripts from each individual media file would be okay. Being able to do it from the media library overview for assets at a time, even better :-)

The Skyrocket transcription feature is awesome, BUT it has occasional errors. For example, it spells my name wrong, and my company name wrong, and the name of the tool I'm training on wrong. These are quite frankly deal-breakers! I need to be able to correct a transcription file. I know this issue has ALREADY been reported here https://requests.simplero.com/feature-requests/p/correcting-transcripts-problem which is marked as resolved, but it's not resolved, so I'm re-submitting the same feature request.

It would be very helpful to have subtitles in more than one language for a video. Right now we use multiple versions of the same video, just to offer different subtitles.

The ability to filter the library and find files with no usage. This will help organize the library and delete files that takes up storage.

When someone purchases a product, you can stamp it with the person's name and date. But that's the only place you can stamp files. Can we also stamp files when they are included as downloads in courses, or lead magnets in lists, or other places too?

A great way to generate income is by writing eBooks and recording audiobooks, then selling them through Simplero. With audiobooks, customers can easily listen via the built-in player or on the web. However, this convenience doesn’t extend to eBooks, as Simplero does not support the ePub format. So why don’t I simply sell digital books as downloadable files? The main reason is the lack of copyright protection for the files. That said, since ePub is essentially a compacted HTML + CSS file, I believe implementing an eBook reader in Simplero would be a relatively straightforward feature to develop.

We sell our audio books as courses and try to make them look really appealing. It would be nice to have the possibility to upload an image to the audio files, so that it is shown in the player, similar to iTunes (Apple Music) and Spotify etc,
