Feature Requests

The new Simplero app should support vertical video formats like Reels, YouTube Shorts, and TikTok effectively. The old app shows videos too small to be usable. The new app should allow creators to record online courses in vertical format, making it easy to repurpose content for Reels, Shorts, and TikTok – and vice versa, enabling great Reels to be added seamlessly to online courses. This is especially important as many users watch online courses on their phones, where vertical format provides the best viewing experience. Why This Feature Matters: Improved Usability: Videos in vertical format would be displayed correctly and in full size, especially on mobile devices. Seamless Content Repurposing: Creators can reuse the same video content across Simplero, TikTok, Reels, and Shorts without extra formatting. Mobile Optimization: With many users watching online courses on their phones, vertical format ensures a better viewing experience. Efficiency: Recording courses in vertical format allows creators to extract small clips as previews for social media, saving time and effort. Flexibility: Great Reels can also be incorporated back into online courses, enhancing the value of the content. Currently, the default page shown when clicking a Membership Site is the Courses. Would be nice with an option to change this to show the Home page instead. Reason is, that users might miss there's a menu with a lot of additional information like Forum or the home page itself. It works perfectly in the browser, where they start on the home page. It also does not make sense that there's always a "Courses" item in the navigation of the app (only). It even shows if you have added it manually (then there's just two: one called "Courses" and the other one with your own defined name).

We would like to be able to offer our courses in our own branded app instead of in the Simplero app. Passion Dan offers this option - so it should be doable :)

At the moment, users can use "comments" in course lessons in the app, but not "private notes" - which they can only use on web-platform. I instruct my students to use these two noteforms for different purposes, so I would love to have the private notes in the app, too.

The groups and forums are a very powerfull feature for our students. Many engage nearly every day. However, in the current layout of the app only courses are immediate visible when you enter the membership site. You have to click on the burger menu and find the forum or group to acces it. It would be really great if users in the app could acces groups - and other pages - on the same top level as courses - and with an image like the current front page layout.

It would be great if the app could show everything in the membershipsite - like the foum, the blog, the additional material (like e-books, downloads and mini-courses etc.), so the members could get all of the same stuff that they get when they enter the membershipsite online.

If a course doesn't allow comments, please remove the "Comment Count" from view. It shows "0 Comments" which implies the viewer can leave a comment. And it also implies low activity, unnecessarily.

It's great that there are transcripts under the video lessons... but not yet on the mobile app, is that right? Would be so helpful to have it there too. Transcripts is the main reason I'm paying an extra $1,200 a year for Simplero ;-)

Please make it easier to search and mark favorite class in the app. Or even to put lessons in playlists. The lack of features in the app is one of the main reasons when we loose members to other platforms with better app. According to a new survey we just did.

I would love if I some how could send push notifications to my members to eg inform them of a new yoga class on the app. I have a yoga colleague who does this - so neat
